Water
Don’t forget to keep hydrated. We have filtered cold water on tap. Ask for a glass or bring your water bottle for a refill.
Food
We do not have a food service at Songlines but you don’t have to go far to find something good to drink and eat.
Sweet Brew
For coffee, beverages, breakfast or lunch there is an excellent café 150 m west of us on the same side of the Highway – Sweet Brew. It has its own bakery and the food is delicious. Open from 7 am – 3 pm and again in the evenings.
Buff Club
Directly across the road on the opposite corner of Geranium Street/Stuart Highway, The Buff Club has a bistro. Enjoy a meal from our delicious menu featuring fresh, local produce. Open for lunch 7 days a week (12pm-2pm) – they often have a $12 special for the day and a $20 roast on Sundays. Dinner is available from Monday to Saturday (6pm-8pm). Includes vegetarian and children’s meals.
Laksa House – Warung Ibu Amye
Across the road and a little east at 54 Stuart Highway is Laksa House – Warung Ibu Amye. Again only a short walk (but please take care crossing the Highway) this favourite of Darwinites has a very simple but delicious Indonesian menu with mains around $18 each. Eat in or take away from 5.30 pm. Friday and Saturday evenings you can get the special satay chicken.
Eva’s Gardens Cafe
If you’d like a leisurely stroll through gorgeous tropical landscapes wander down Geranium Street and into the George Brown Darwin Botanic Gardens to Eva’s Cafe. Gorgeous location and only 10 minutes from us.
