Vintage pattern frock featuring fabric designed by Aboriginal artist Barbara Lane of Papulankutja Artists in the Ngaanyatjara Lands of WA. The design is called Salt Lakes. The detailing in this is extraordinary with a collar, inset skirt panel and other details made from Princess silk printed with Watiya Tjuta design by Mitjili Napurrula of Ikuntji Artists (more photos will be uploaded).

Fabric: Classic Cotton and details using Princess silk hand-printed with silver ink.

Classic cotton – 140 GSM. The fabric has a smooth surface with a sheen across it. Classic Cotton is a versatile fabric that produces a gentle drape. Perfect for all types of clothing, accessories and selected soft furnishings.

This garment was made exclusively for SEW GORGEOUS 2023, an exhibition/project facilitated by Flying Fox Fabrics. On exhibition at Songlines in August-September 2023.
