About the design:
Ikarka is a type of bowerbird from the Western Desert. Ikarka Tjukurpa (Bowerbird Dreaming) tells a secret story of a man, wife and baby. Ikarka, the woman was crying with her baby in her arms because her husband had died and she was being chased out of her community. However, the reason for this is unknown, as Mona describes this story to be of a secret nature and cannot explain more details. Mona says this is a love story.

About the BWA chainstitch (gabba) kilim products
These beautiful, unique textiles are a cross-cultural collaboration combining Aboriginal designs and traditional Kashmiri rug-making techniques.
